MIDDLEWICH Community Bowling Club is enjoying a new lease of life thanks to a revamped pavilion.

The project was completed by McCarthy Stone, the developers behind the Roman Court Retirement Living development, currently under construction on Wheelock Street.

The construction totally revamped the pavilion at the bowling club and even helped with further improvements, including a large wall calendar which will enable the club to display fixtures for the year, and several garden tables, chairs and mugs.

Geoff Williams, chairman of the Middlewich Community Bowling Club, said: “Everybody at the club is so pleased about the renovation of our visitor’s pavilion.

“We’ve had lots of wonderful comments already, it looks amazing. I’d like to thank the team at McCarthy Stone for their help.”

Fiona Brooks, divisional sales director for McCarthy Stone Northern, said: “Here at McCarthy Stone, we appreciate our responsibilities go further than creating high-quality retirement apartments - we also seek to make a positive difference in the communities in which we build.

“The Middlewich Community Bowling Club is a huge part of the community; it’s a place where locals can come together and enjoy some friendly competition, which is amazing.

“When we heard that the pavilion could do with some TLC, we were more than happy to help and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to help enhance the facilities at the club.

“We hope the wall calendar, furniture and mugs also help improve the experience for everyone at the club, all of us here at McCarthy Stone can’t wait to visit, sit back and watch the action unfold from the fantastic new pavilion.”
