THE delivery of a project to improve allotments in Winsford could be extended to next year.
Winsford Town Council has been working on a project to develop the Wharton Allotments in Greville Drive.
A planning application, approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council, would see additional plots, new entrance gates, better security, improved drainage and a pond installed at the site.
The project had been due to be completed by October 2022, but Winsford town councillors will meet on Monday, November 21, to discuss an extension to this date.
A new completion date of March 21 has been earmarked for the project.
The initial proposal from 2020 indicates a cost of £14,500, which will be met with contributions from Winsford Town Council, CWAC, the National Allotment Gardens Trust, and local businesses.
