A WINSFORD man who admitted stalking and harassing a woman is due back at court later this month for sentencing.

Michael Ravenscroft, of Launceston Close, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on November 2 where he pleaded guilty to a number of offences.

The 35-year-old admitted harassing a woman without violence by repeatedly calling her on July 18 earlier this year despite knowing such contact was unwanted.

He also pleaded guilty to stalking the same woman on October 31 after he appeared at her home and made two further unwanted phone calls.

Ravenscroft also pleaded guilty to a final charge of sending an obscene or offensive message which relates to one of the telephone calls he made to the woman on July 18.

Magistrates adjourned the hearing for a pre-sentence report to be made and granted the defendant conditional bail in order to prevent offending and obstruction to the course of justice.

He was ordered not to contact the woman, either directly or indirectly, and must not enter a designated street in Winsford.

Ravenscroft will next appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court on November 30 for sentencing.
