SANTA is coming to popular Northwich visitor attraction Lion Salt Works Museum.

A magical day of Christmas activities is being held at this industrial heritage venue on Saturday, December 3, from 11am to 5pm.

Children can book to see Father Christmas in his winter wonderland grotto in the butterfly garden.

Festive music will be performed by the Rivendale Singers and Morris Dancers will provide plenty of fun.

Youngsters can make Christmas cards and decorations.

Maria Bryne, West Cheshire and Chester Council’s director of environment and communities, said: “Everyone is warmly welcomed to these fun, festive activities.

“These activities are always a delightful way to way to get into the festive spirit.

“The historic and evocative setting of the Lion Salt Works enhances this experience.”

The drop-in activities are free although donations to support the event would be welcomed.

Children can bring letters they may wish to share with Father Christmas.

Hot drinks will be on sale throughout the Christmas period.

The museum’s shop will also be selling a variety of gifts which could make ideal Christmas presents.

Parking is free.
