SANTA and his elves are bringing Christmas trees, candy canes and crafting fun to Winsford Cross this November.

The free event at Winsford Cross shopping centre takes place on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27.

Between 11am and 4pm, children can meet Santa and his elves, who are on a mission to bring Christmas sparkle to the shopping centre, but they need help!

Children are invited to take part in a special Christmas crafting workshop, where they will make a festive tree decoration that will bring a community Christmas tree trail to life with lots of colour and sparkle.

Plus, it’s sweet galore as everyone who helps will receive a free candy cane.

Santa and his little helpers will create a trail of beautiful artificial trees that will be situated around the shopping centre throughout December.

After Christmas, all the trees will be donated back to the community, and the shopping centre is inviting schools, care homes and charities to get in touch if they would like to receive one of the five 7ft trees.

Visitors on the day - and in the run up to Christmas - are being encouraged to share their festive photographs on social media using #WinsfordChristmas.

The best photographs will win a £50 gift card for a Winsford Cross store of their choice.

Sue Lerczak, centre manager at Winsford Cross said: “Create Christmas promises to be lots of fun with plenty of free activities for little ones to enjoy.

“It will be amazing to see the community come together to decorate Winsford Cross with their own unique touch.

“Santa may only be with us for two days, but the trees will remain here in Winsford for everyone to enjoy in December and beyond!”
