A 26-YEAR-OLD has admitted telling a 15-year-old girl she gave him ‘butterflies’ and discussed having sex with her when she turned 16.

Louis Blair, of Fairfield Road in Northwich, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on November 8 where he pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child and inciting a girl aged 13-15 into sexual activity of a non-penetrative nature.

He also admitted three counts of making indecent images of children, and one overall charge for the possession of the 40 images.

Magistrates heard between July 3 and 9, 2021, Blair used Snapchat to speak to 15-year-old girl, who he ‘did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over’.

The court heard he sent messages to her including: discussing meeting in a hotel, telling her he loved her, complimenting her on her looks, telling her she gave him ‘butterflies’ and discussing with her having sexual intercourse on her 16th birthday.

Between these dates, Blair ‘intentionally attempted to cause or incite’ a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity and send him photographs of her genitals and bottom.

Chester Magistrates’ Court was told as well as these offences, Blair made six category A indecent photographs of children, four category B and 30 category C, on or before July 8 of last year.

This meant Blair was in possession of 40 indecent photographs.

Magistrates decided to send the case to Chester Crown Court for sentence on December 6.

Until this date, Blair must register with police, not use or install any wiping software on his electronic devices and present any devices capable of storing electronic equipment on request.

He must also inform the National Crime Agency of any new internet-enabled devices and not have any unsupervised contact (physical or online) with anyone under 18.
