FIREFIGHTERS attended an unsupervised bonfire in Winsford earlier this evening, Saturday.
On what is traditionally the busiest night of the year for any fire and rescue service, crews were called to the unattended and unsupervised bonfire on Leyland Walk at around 6pm.
The bonfire consisted of waste, mattresses and a wheelie bin.
One fire engine from Winsford attended and the crew used a hose reel water jet to put it out.
Last night, Friday, firefighters were also called to an incident on Mendip Close.
The team used a hose reel water jet to put out a wheelie bin and rubbish on fire.
Police were also called to the scene.
