THERE are three designated ‘warm hubs’ in Middlewich to give residents a safe space to escape the cold during the cost-of-living crisis.
Councils and groups across the country have been preparing to open up warm hubs where members of the community can go to and keep themselves warm for a few hours during the day, as well as enjoy hot drinks and company.
In September, Middlewich Town Council voted unanimously to provide a warm shelter for its residents.
There are now three hubs across the town:
Victoria Building, Civic Way
Every Wednesday, 3pm until 5pm
Providing a warm space, hot drinks, soups and hot food
Free
Number 28, Hightown
Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10am until 1pm
Providing a warm space, hot drinks, soup and sandwiches
Free, but if you are able to make a donation, this is much appreciated
Middlewich Library
Every Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am until 5pm
Thursday, 9.30am until 7pm
Saturday, 9.30am until 1pm.
