A MAN has been charged following an armed robbery at a betting shop in Winsford.

Vincent Henry, of Station Road in the town was arrested on Thursday, November 3.

The 33-year-old has been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm and an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

The man also faces charges of possessing criminal property and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

Henry has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, November 4.

The charge relates to an incident at the Betfred store on Jubilee Way at around 12.20pm on Thursday, August 4, this year.
