A TRIAL date has been set for a man charged with possession of criminal property after £20,000 in cash was recovered from his address.
Benjamin Kershaw, now of Chester Road, Oakmere, appeared in Chester Crown Court on October 28 for a trial preparation hearing.
The court heard the 42-year-old is alleged to have ‘acquired, used or had possession of criminal property’ - stained bank notes – on August 8, 2020.
Kershaw, formally of Bishops Way, Northwich, was arrested in August 2020 for an unrelated matter.
Following his arrest, officers recovered more than £20,000 cash during a search of his address.
He will appear back at Chester Crown Court for trial the week commencing August 21, 2023.
