THERE have long delays on the M6 this afternoon, Saturday, after crashes on the southbound carriageway.
Two lanes were closed on the M6 southbound between junction 18 and 17.
This was first reported to National Highways at 10.31am.
Emergency services were in attendance and recovery took place.
There were delays of at least 60 minutes with eight miles of congestion back to junction 19.
Here, a further accident took place, causing a car to overturn and one lane was closed.
Both accidents have since been cleared but residual delays may remain.
