A GHOST-HUNTING family in Winsford is travelling through Cheshire this Halloween to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice – all in their very own hearse.

For Jon Paul (JP) Kenny, Kymmi Jeffrey and their two daughters Snow and Pebble, ghostly goings-on are not just reserved for Halloween, as they have been dubbed the ‘real-life Addams family’ for their unique connection to the paranormal world.

The family made the headlines recently with an appearance on ITV’s This Morning, where they told viewers about their business ‘The Occult Hauntings’ which offers ghost hunts, events at haunted venues, scary sleepovers, paranormal investigations, and other spooky experiences - as well as how they drive around in their hearse.

On Monday, October 31, the family is heading to Knutsford for the town’s Pumpkin Path event in the hearse at around 5.30pm, giving out sweets to trick-or-treaters while using their platform to raise funds for St Luke’s Hospice.

They will then continue their charity drive in Kingsmead in Northwich from around 7pm, before heading on to Middlewich.

JP and Kymmi are still getting used to their new-found fame and have received calls from various other media outlets.

“We didn’t realise how crazy it was going to go,” Kymmi said.

“We’ve only recently set up the business and now it’s just gone through the roof.”

The couple’s interest in the afterlife first began when JP got Kymmi a ghost tour for her birthday.

Kymmi explained: “He bought me a birthday present which was to visit the most haunted house in the UK.

“We went there in February, and I was a sceptic, but the experiences I have had now, you just can’t explain it any other way.”

And once the family business had been set up, the pair decided on a unique form of transportation to spread the word.

“We thought to advertise our business we would get our hearse,” JP added.

“We’ve driven down the centre of Manchester in it and people ran out of the pubs to take pictures.

“It’s been really well received and we’re already filling up events for next year.”
