FAMILIES are being invited to a 'spectacular' bonfire and fireworks display to help support a cricket club.

Middlewich Cricket Club is holding its annual Bonfire Night event on Saturday, November 5.

There will be the club's regular array of popular hot food and drinks vendors plus a stall and ride for children. An external bar will also be seeling drinks for adults.

The club has also taken on board feedback from previous events and increased the floodlighting, toilet and security provisions, also maintaining the important first aid facility.

Club chairman Dave Parry said: "The fireworks display was awesome last year and we have sought to make it equally spectacular this time.

"This has been one of our major fundraising events for many years, and we hope to raise further valuable funds to plough back into the support of cricket for all ages and genders as well as essential maintenance and upkeep of the club's ground and facilities.

"The event has been very kindly sponsored by CKD Cheshire Kitchen Design.
