FAMILIES are invited to attend one of Mid Cheshire's 'biggest and best' firework displays as it returns to Northwich for 2022.

Organised by the Northwich Rotary Club and Northwich Round Table, Firefest 2022 will take place at Verdin Park on Saturday, November 5.

As well as the huge bonfire and pyrotechnic delights, there will also be a funfair to enjoy and a wide variety of food and drink on offer while Radio Northwich comperes the evening.

And, with help from the Ladies Circle and Northwich Town Council, this year promises to be 'bigger and better than ever'.

Chad Millington, from Northwich Round Table, said: "While the emphasis is on fun and creating a great spectacle it is also important to recognise Firefest is organised by a team of dedicated volunteers and every penny of profit will go to local charities."

Martin Fallon, president of Northwich Rotary, said: "Firefest is a great way to enjoy fireworks in a safe environment and we remind visitors, for safety reasons, they must not bring alcohol or any of their own fireworks onto the site."

Gates open at 5.30pm although the advice is to arrive early, with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm and the firework display itself at 7.15pm.

Drivers are encouraged to use the official car parks in and around the town centre as it will be a busy evening.
