A 42-YEAR-OLD man from Northwich has been handed a £400 court bill after displaying threatening behaviour in the town.

Paul Schofield, of Royle Street, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on October 25.

He pleaded guilty to an offence dating back to July 23 in Northwich.

On this date, with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, Schofield used ‘threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour’, causing a person alarm or distress.

Taking his guilty plea into account, magistrates sitting at Cheshire Magistrates’ Court fined Schofield £280.

On top of this he must pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £120.

This is a total of £400 owed to the court.
