PRIMARY school pupils in Winsford have raised almost £300 to help raise money for people going through cancer treatment.
Charity representatives from Darnhall Primary School organised cake stalls to raise the funds.
Headteacher Sarah Tomlinson said: “Cancer is something that sadly has affected and continues to affect so many of our loved ones and community, so our children wanted to help raise money for the care of people we know and love.
“We have children who are charity representatives and along with three very passionate staff members, Mrs Healey, Mrs Kelsall and Mrs Hughes, they held cake stalls and a special Macmillan coffee afternoon.
“They raised £281.35 and this will be donated directly to The Macmillan Cancer Unit at Leighton Hospital as it’s treating, treated or cared for special people we love and know.”
