A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Northwich has been spared jail after he was found in possession of cannabis, a ‘dealer tick list’ and other items associated with drugs supply.

Leon Joel John Howell, of Kingsway, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class B drugs earlier this year and appeared in Chester Crown Court on October 12 to be sentenced.

On June 10, 2021, he was found with a quantity of tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabis.

The court heard this included various bags of cannabis and 31 cannabis drinks bottles – which were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.

Other items to be forfeited include digital scales, sieves, zip seal bags, a black smartphone and a ‘dealer tick list’ black notebook.

Judge Michael Leeming spared Howell jail and instead sentenced him to 14 months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

Howell will need to undertake 120 hours of unpaid work, plus up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

A total of £1,157 in cash is also to be forfeited.
