A 39-YEAR-OLD woman has been disqualified from driving and fined more than £100 after drug driving in Barnton.
Melanie Slater, of Barnton, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on October 11 where she pleaded guilty to driving with drugs in her system.
The charges date back to May 23 of this year when Slater was driving a Volkswagen Golf along Runcorn Road.
Slater had cocaine and benzoylecgonine (BZE) in her system at this time, both exceeding the specified limit.
Taking her guilty plea into account, magistrates fined Slater £120.
She must also pay £120 in costs and a £34 surcharge.
Slater is disqualified from driving for 12 months.
