A BAND which has headlined shows across Europe and played at the iconic Glastonbury Festival is coming to Winsford next month.

Bare Jams is playing The Hive on November 4 as part of the band’s autumn tour - the same day their new single Rockets is released.

The group consists of Ollie Coombs (vocals/guitar), Sam James (drums), Dave Tyler (bass), Josh Parmenter (keys), Seb Skelly (trumpet) and Jake Heath (sax).

Bare Jams has historically had a rolodex of members, all taking their part in the musical development of the band.

From 2011 they transformed from voracious ‘gig goers’ to prolific ‘creators', as schoolmates Ollie and Sam joined forces to pen and perform their very own original material.

Dave then joined playing bass, beginning the transition into a fully-fledged band.

Many personnel changes followed, each time the band evolving and raising the bar on their highly energetic sound.

It was in 2018 that they found their ‘soul’ as a band, melding pop, soul, rock and reggae into their very own musical brew.

Since then, the band has become well-known for bringing in the crowds, performing to music lovers across the globe at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Isle of Wight Festival, filling tents to their sweaty capacities.

They have also headlined many shows across Europe.

Bare Jams’ debut album ‘This 'n' That’ was released in May 2020 and their new single Rockets - a song which strikes a serious tone about negativity, echo chambers, fake news, and the evils of money and corruption – will be released in just a few weeks.

Ollie explained: “The song floats the idea that we can create our own safe place that we nurture and maintain in order to get to our desired destinations and outcomes while spreading love at the same time.

Rockets is a homage to positive perception and optimism.”

The Winsford gig will take place on Friday, November 4 at The Hive Winsford, 19 Market Place.

Doors will open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £9.00.
