TALENTED artists have left the judges of the village art competition with an incredibly difficult job as they battled for cash prizes.
Hartford Civic Society ran a competition entitled ‘Art of Hartford’, with the aim of creating a calendar.
Entrants were invited to send in their artwork, which could be paintings, drawings or photographs - including edited or photoshopped work.
Seven cash prizes were up for grabs for first, second and third place in both the adult and child categories, as well as a prize for the front cover piece.
The adult winners were Carol Dooley, Kevin Eccles and Suzie Hewitt.
The under 16 winners were Alfie Smith, aged 14, Ella Parker, aged eight and Lois Evans, aged five.
Dave Spencer won the front cover prize, and other artists included in the calendar include Paula Manley, Marshall’s Arm Community Group, Michael Kay, Sarah Kavanagh and Natalie Evans.
The calendar will be available in early November and will be on sale at Littler’s Butcher and Elson News.
They will cost £5, you can also order one by emailing hartfordcompetition@gmail.com.
