A MAN from Northwich is set to appear in crown court after more than £20,000 in cash was recovered from his home.
Benjamin Kershaw has been charged with possession of criminal property following the seizure of the cash.
The 42-year-old, formally of Bishops Way, Northwich, was arrested in August 2020 for an unrelated matter.
Following his arrest, officers recovered more than £20,000 cash during a search of his address.
Kershaw, now of Chester Road, Oakmere, was subsequently charged on suspicion of possession of criminal property.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 23 where he was bailed.
He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday, October 28.
