TWO lanes are currently closed on the M6 this morning, Wednesday.

This is due to two separate crashes on the motorway – affecting both carriageways.

Lanes three and four of four are closed, and queueing traffic is building due to accidents heading northbound.

This is from junction 21 for the A57 Manchester Road at Woolston, to junction 21a for the M62 at Croft Interchange.

Congestion stretches back to junction 20 for the M56 at Lymm Interchange.

Traffic is also slowing to look on the opposite side heading southbound.
