WINNINGTON Park Hockey Club's new season is underway.
The women's first team got off to a winning start at home against Crewe, with Sandy Moloney-Pugh grabbing Park's first goal only for Crewe to level matters.
Park regained control and returning striker Jaz Barlow scored Park's second.
Amy Warrener received the person-of-the-match accolade for her tireless running.
The men’s first team faced a tough task at Clitheroe and came away with a 4-1 loss. Man of the match Greg Wilkes got Park's solitary goal.
Park women's seconds started the season at blistering pace beating Wilmslow 7-1 away, with Eileen Miller, Helen Cartin and Izzy Warrener all getting two goals and Izzy Robinson rounding the day off.
A 9-0 win was dished out by Park men's seconds against Wilmslow's fourths.
Mark Leigh scored a hat-trick, Harrison Austin banked a brace, with George Gray and father-and-son John and Paul Stackhouse all adding a goal each.
The men’s thirds were away to a strong Deeside team and lost 7-0.
Striker James Dixon got man of the match for his tireless running and defending from the front.
The Badgers under 16s were away to Preston for their first match, losing 4-3. Park's goals came from L Smith, two, and S Maddock. Player of the match went to A Martin.
The Beavers under 14s were at home to Crewe. In a tight match they lost 1-0, with the player of the match awarded to G Ireland.
