THE new head of the borough's Citizens Advice branch says she is 'passionate to ensure services remain useful for generations to come'.

Gilly Conway has this month been named chairman of the Citizens Advice Cheshire West (CACW) trustee board.

The freelance management consultant, who specialises in the NHS, has served on the board since 2017 and had been vice-chairman since 2019.

She said: “The services CACW offer are so important, and I am passionate about ensuring they remain relevant and useful for generations to come.

“I am committed to using my skills and expertise to support the CACW team develop its services for the future and further the charitable aims of the organisation.”

Ms Conway replaces Geoff Hope-Terry, who steps down having served the maximum term as chairman of the trustee board.

She added: “I'd like to say a huge thank you to Geoff for his commitment to the role over the past five years.

“He has been an exemplary chairman, a strong advocate of CACW externally, always mindful of how we can best serve our clients, and incredibly supportive of everyone who contributes to running our services.”
