CHESHIRE Gymnastics competitors who train in major Olympic disciplines achieved impressive results across the region at the weekend.

Trampolinists bounced into action in Salford, while there was a women's artistic competition to contest in Liverpool.

The highlight was the performance of Lilia Dunne, 10, who achieved the gold medal on the asymmetric bars out of a huge category of 59 competitors.

She also gained silver on floor, silver on vault in which she also received Beam Queen and Great Vault awards.

Lilia also achieved an Excellent Execution Award on bars and Artistry Award on floor as she placed fifth overall.
