HERE is a timetable of the day of the Queen’s state funeral which will take place today Monday, September 19.

• 6.30am: the lying-in-state ends and Westminster Hall is closed to the public.

• 11am: the funeral service is set to begin at Westminster Abbey, doors will be open from 8am for members of the congregation to take to their seats.

• 11.55am: towards the end of the service, Last Post will be played followed by a national two-minute silence that will be observed in the Abbey and across the country

• 12.15pm: a procession will set off at 12.15pm to Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner, arriving at 1pm.

• 3pm: the coffin arrives at Windsor • 4pm: The state hearse and royal family will then travel to Windsor where a committal service will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

• 7.30pm: A private service in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, the tiny venue where Queen Elizabeth II's coffin will be reunited with Prince Philip’s coffin and they will be interred.

The Queen’s funeral service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster, with the sermon given by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Towards the end of the service, the Last Post will sound, followed by two minutes of silence to be observed in the abbey and around the UK.
