THE first night of Northwich Beer Festival has been hailed as ‘brilliant’.

More than 50 beers are available to sample at this popular event celebrating its 28th year this weekend.

The festival is being held at Brio Leisure’s Memorial Court.

Organised by the Rotary and Rotaract, there is something for everyone to enjoy with 20 ciders, gin and Prosecco on offer alongside a selection of beers.

Soft drinks are available for drivers.

A spokesman posted this message on social media: “What a brilliant first night.

“A big thank you to The Ant Hill Mob and supported by Northwich Uke Club.

“The event went like clockwork.

“Best of all was the wonderful people attending and enjoying themselves.

“We do it for you and in return all your purchases, every penny profit goes to local charities and local good causes. Thank you.”

A midday session today, Saturday, September 17 runs from noon until 4pm and the then from 6pm to 11pm.

Spitting Feathers will be back on stage, supported by Skipper the Eye Child.
