HERE are three of Cheshire Dogs’ Home’s residents who are desperate to find their fur-ever home.
In this feature, we’ll regularly tell you about some of the four-legged friends awaiting a new family to love at the Cheshire-based rescue centre.

Boss: Age three, male greyhound
Boss is a very nervous boy and was sadly brought back to the dogs’ home as his adoption didn’t work out.
Therefore, he has had experience of living in a home environment and the team does have some history on him.
He is a lovely boy but due to his nervous nature the dogs' home is looking for him to be rehomed in an adult-only home with owners who are prepared to help and reassure him that the world outside of racing isn’t a scary place to be.

Marley: Age five, male lurcher
Marley is an excitable boy who came to the dogs’ home as a stray.
When you first meet Marley, he is a very giddy character and loves nothing more than going out on walks.
He is undergoing training and socialisation and his new owners would need to bare this in mind when applying to adopt him.
At the dogs’ home he has been able to mix with other dogs and he seems friendly towards some breeds whereas others he can be vocal towards.
Sometimes this is out of frustration and other times it seems like he is vocalising to speak to you.
Because of this, Marley would be suited to being the only dog in the home.
Once he gets the excitement out of his system he loves having cuddles and he is a very affectionate boy.

Cali: Age 11 months, female Dutch herder cross
Cali is a sweet girl, but when you first meet her she can be very nervous.
Once you get to know her she comes out of her shell and you get to see her lovely personality shine through.
Since being in the dogs’ home, it has become clear she needs work with her socialisation - some dogs she is OK with but others she is not.
The team are in the process of working on this with her but are looking for her new owners to continue this after adoption.
Her new home would need to have no other animals, be adult-only and her owners would need to have previous experience of owning a dog.
As Cali is still a young dog, her new owner would need to be patient and prepared to carry on her training after adoption.
