MORE than 50 beers will be available to sample when a popular drinks festival returns to the town this month.

On Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, Northwich's 28th Beer and Drinks Festival takes place at Brio Leisure's Memorial Court.

Organised by the Rotary and Rotoract, there will be something for everyone to enjoy with 20 ciders, gin and Prosecco on offer alongside the aforementioned beers.

Soft drinks will be available for drivers.

Festival chairman Peter Holland said: “We’re looking forward to another exciting event.

"The festival has always been very well supported by our local communities - from the public who attend it to the businesses large and small who sponsor the event.

"A big thank you to everyone especially Club Class taxis who are this year’s main sponsor.

"Raising funds for those in need is an important part of what we do, and in 2019 we raised more than £10,000 which was distributed by Rotary in Northwich to local good causes and Rotary charities."

As well as the beers and drinks, the festival is also know for live music  and this year will be no exception.

The Ant Hill Mob will be performing on Friday night, with Northwich Uke Club supporting.

On Saturday, Spitting Feathers are back, supported by Skipper the Eye Child.

Radio Northwich will be in attendance on both evenings.

Tickets for the Friday and Saturday evening sessions, which take place between 6pm and 11pm ar £10.

For the Saturday afternoon 'quiet session' between 12pm and 4pm, tickets are £5.
