A TOP Bon Jovi tribute act, hailed as 'one of the biggest bands on the planet' is coming to Winsford.

Bon Giovi will be on stage at The Hive at 7pm on Friday, September 2.

Fronted by Jon Bon Jovi impersonator Lee Tomkins, the band was honoured to make a guest experience on the tribute album ‘Garden State of Mind Vol 1’.

Bon Giovi was formed in 1999 and has been hailed as the world’s best look-alike and sound-alike tribute to the New Jersey rockers.

The band performs all their greatest hits including ‘Living on a Prayer’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’.

Chris Carr, general manager of The Hive, said: “The band is huge on the circuit and has played more than 29 countries.

“They have a big following of more than 290,000 on social media and are going from strength to strength, headlining some of the largest festivals in the country.

“Expect a night of classic songs from one of the biggest bands on the planet.”

The community-owned venue on Market Place is hosting a range of gigs in the coming months.

Ben Ottewell, the lead singer from Gomez, will be on stage on Sunday, September 11.

“This is a huge act we have secured, having been one of the lead singers in one of the UK’s most influential bands,” said Chris.

“Ben won the Mercury Music Prize with his band Gomez.”

Famous for his strong and loud voice, Ben will be playing classics from Gomez’s two albums along with material from his solo career.
