WHEN it comes to curries the choice is endless – korma, tikka masala and dhansak or there’s jalfrezi, vindaloo and madras.

Maybe you prefer a Thai curry instead and have to choose between red, green or yellow.

Chicken tikka masala is Britain’s favourite curry dish – grilled chunks of chicken in a spiced sauce, served with rice and naan bread and a side of popadoms.

Which is Northwich’s favourite curry? Where in the town can you enjoy the best curry dish?

In our Best of 2022 campaign, we’ve given out 17 awards so far in Mid Cheshire for hair, nails, beauty, children, fitness, gym, pubs, beer gardens, cafes and independent shop as well as pies, fish and chips, breakfast, afternoon tea, roast dinner, pizza and burger.

Lissie Wright Hair, The Beauty Spot, Weaver Hall Museum and Lion Salt Works, Sharon Power Fitness, The Lion, The Carriers Inn and The Style Hut together with JD’s Cafe, Winsford Fryer, Oakwood Marina, Poppy Rose Vintage Tearooms, Hartford Hall, Oakwood Smoke and Dough, and Newton’s Nosh Catering have all been crowned winners in their respective categories.

Voting is currently taking place to find the area’s best dessert with the closing date midnight on Monday, August 29.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations close each Monday morning at 12pm.

Then each Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.

You will be able to vote in one of three ways:

- By commenting under the relevant post on our Knutsford Guardian, Northwich Guardian and Winsford and Middlewich Guardian Facebook pages = 1 vote

- By entering via the online article on our Knutsford Guardian, Northwich Guardian and Winsford and Middlewich Guardian websites = 2 votes

- By entering via our Knutsford Guardian, Northwich Guardian and Winsford and Middlewich Guardian newspapers = 5 votes

The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.

They will then be entered into the running for our overall Simply The Best award at the end of the competition.

Usual Newsquest competition rules apply.
