A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after getting trapped between two cars on Tarporley High Street
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 12.30pm after reports of a person being trapped.
That included both police and ambulance, as well as two fire engines from Winsford and Chester and a specialist rope rescue team.
The public were asked to avoid the area while the incident was being dealt with.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "High Street Tarporley has been closed while emergency services work to release a casualty trapped between two vehicles.
"Please avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with."
However, just before 2pm, they sent an update to say the person had been freed.
"Firefighters have released the casualty who has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service," the spokesman added.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "We have been called at 12:33pm to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, and have attended the scene.
"The vehicles involved were a grey Hyundai Kona and a grey Ford Kuga.
"The pedestrian was released at about 1.30pm and has been taken to hospital via air ambulance."
