For many places, this will be the first time since 2019 that students have been able to wear their caps and gowns and graduate in person after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many colleges and universities postponed last year’s ceremonies and those scheduled for the summer of 2020 and rearranged them for this summer so there have been extra events this time.

We’re calling on proud parents and grandparents across the town to share their pictures of their sons and daughters at their graduations for a chance to feature in our online gallery and next week’s paper.

Please also send us a photo if you yourself have graduated this summer.

You need to include a clear, close up photograph only – we cannot accept any montage or filtered pictures or any that have not included the required details.

Remember to include their full name, their university or college and the course they have completed.
