NORTHWICH Rowing Club's Catherine Lawton and Tim Preece have been acknowledged for their service.
In a traditional way of handing out honours in the sport, the pair have had club boats named after them.
Catherine and Tim have been in the background working tirelessly over many years, performing many roles in helping the club to be one of the best in the region.
Meanwhile, the club's junior 14 crews raced at Runcorn and came home with three gold, two silver and one bronze.
These are the youngest members and so club officials were pleased to see them racing.
This weekend the British Championships are being held in Nottingham where four crews are entered.
