THE cost of petrol has finally come down - but only by 1p per litre.
After steadily rising for six consecutive weeks, prices saw a freeze last week and have now began to decline - albeit by a minimal amount.
Last week, a spokesman for the RAC said the price of a barrel of oil had gone down by $10 and that it would be "scandalous" if supermarkets didn't pass those reductions on to customers.
Just seven days on, drivers are at least beginning to get some respite, which is good news with the school summer holidays about to start.
It's not quite such good news for diesel drivers however with prices remaining the same as last week.
Here are the top five places to fill up across the patch for both unleaded and diesel.
