EXPERTLY cooked meat, a huge selection of delicious vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and an extra jug of gravy – the perfect ingredients for an award-winning roast dinner.
Hartford Hall on School Lane definitely has the recipe for success after being named Best Roast Dinner 2022.
The venue is no stranger to being shortlisted for our Best of 2022 accolades after making the final six in our search to find Northwich’s best breakfast but Hartford Hall has gone one better this time round and scooped the top prize for its traditional Sunday meal.
Each week, we focus on different categories to find the best that Northwich, Knutsford, Winsford and Middlewich have to offer with awards for hair, nails, beauty, fitness and independent shop being given out as well as fish and chips, pies, pubs, breakfast and afternoon tea already decided.
Voting is currently taking place in the latest round of the competition with the award for Best Pizza up for grabs with a closing date of midnight on Monday.
Hatford Hall, which underwent a £500,000 refurbishment during Covid-19 lockdowns, made the roast dinner shortlist after customers said that “everything is first class” and they serve “perfectly cooked pink beef”.
Roast dinners are served all day on a Sunday and come with a choice of three meats – roast rack of pork, half a roasted chicken that is cooked without the bones, and roast sirloin of beef.
They’re accompanied by Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and a side of vegetables which include roasted parsnips and roasted carrots, braised red cabbage, mange tout, fine beans and broccoli as well as an extra jug of gravy.
General manager Matthew Abbott said: “Our roast dinners are a very big part of what we do here so it’s a great honour to win this award.
“We’re immensely proud and very grateful to our loyal customers for all of their support, especially with their nominations and their votes.”
Hartford Hall, which has 20 boutique hotel rooms, is open every day from 7.30am serving breakfast and brunch before switching to the lunch menu and then the evening meal menu.
