HERE are four of Cheshire Dogs’ Home’s long stayers who are desperate to find their fur-ever home.

Rebel: Age four, male greyhound

Northwich Guardian: RebelRebel

Rebel has sadly been returned to Cheshire Dogs’ Home as his previous adoption didn’t work out – through no fault of his own.

He is described as a ‘sweet boy’ who was very nervous and timid but with time came out of his shell and can be very affectionate.

He has been in a home environment before, however there will need to be training put in place for him, especially when it comes to toilet training.

Due to his previous training, Rebel does have a very high prey drive and can be very strong on the lead if he sees something small and furry whilst on his walks.

For this reason, he would not be able to live with any cats or small animals, but his owners would also need to be aware of his prey drive may extend to small dogs.

He is sociable with larger dogs but is trained to wear a muzzle on walks.

He would love a secure garden where he can run about and play safely – as well as a sofa to cuddle up on and nap.

Ty: Age three, male greyhound

Northwich Guardian: TyTy

Ty is an energetic young boy who loves nothing better than going out and about for a walk.

Afterwards he will happily settle down and snooze, so a home with a nice comfy sofa would be perfect for this boy.

He can also be affectionate and likes attention and fusses.

Due to his previous training, Ty does have a very high prey drive and can be very strong on the lead if he sees something small and furry whilst on his walks.

For this reason, he would not be able to live with any cats or small animals, but his owners would also need to be aware of his prey drive may extend to small dogs.

Bella: Age 12, female crossbred (to be rehomed with Merrygold)

Northwich Guardian: BellaBella

Bella is a very sweet lady who is happy getting fuss or going for walks.

She does like attention and enjoys a good stroke and will happily come over to you to say hello when on a walk.

She is a friendly lady and loves people.

Bella would enjoy spending her time with you and I’m sure she’d settle herself nicely on a comfy sofa to enjoy afternoon naps.

Merrygold: Age 11, female crossbreed (to be rehomed with Bella)

Northwich Guardian: MerrygoldMerrygold

Merrygold can be a little timid when you first meet her and nervous around new people, however being with Bella really brings out the confidence in her.

Once she gets to know you and she builds a bond she will be a very affectionate lady.

She will come to you and will happily lie on you for a fuss and a stroke - it just takes that bit of time for her to trust you and once she does you will have a companion for life!

Bella and Merrygold are to be rehomed together as the only dogs in the household.

It is not recommended that they are rehomes with cats.

Both dogs came to Cheshire Dogs’ Home as a transfer from another kennel, so little is known about their history.

Therefore, it is recommended they be rehomed to a family with children no younger than 14 – subject to a successful meet.
