A NORTHWICH teenager has been banned from the roads after being caught over the drink-drive limit.
Daniel Beckingham, of Eaton Lane, Davenham, had been driving in a Vauxhall Astra along Chester Way when he was stopped on June 18.
A breath test revealed the 19-year-old had 52 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 litres of his breath. The legal limit is 35.
Beckingham pleaded guilty to drink-driving at Chester Magistrates' Court on July 8.
Taking his guilty plea into account, magistrates fined him £120 and disqualified him from driving for 15 months.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
Beckingham was given until October 7 to pay the total court bill.
