A POPULAR food festival which is dubbed ‘Gastro-Glasto’ returns to Tatton Park next weekend.

Foodies Festival is the biggest touring gourmet food festival in the UK, featuring MasterChef champions, stars of The Great British Bake-Off and The Great British Menu, Michelin starred chefs and platinum-selling music headliners. 

From July 8-10, there will be fun for all the family and a real feast for the senses.

Award-winning chefs taking part this summer include MasterChef: The Professionals 2021 champion Daniel Lee, MasterChef 2021 champion, Tom Rhodes and finalist David Rickett.

Warrington-born MasterChef star, Liam Rogers, will make a welcome return to the region to showcase his finest dishes and from the Great British Menu, Stuart Collins, chef and co-owner from Docket No.33, in Shropshire.

Liam said: I’m super excited to be cooking at Foodies Festival and to be back in Cheshire.

“It’s a great chance for me to showcase my food to a great audience and interact with some lovely people!”

Bake Off stars making showstoppers in the Cake and Bake Theatre include 2021 favourites Freya Cox and Lizzie Acker, plus winner of ’Platinum Pudding for The Queen’s Jubilee’ Jemma Melvin, who’ll be creating her scrumptious dessert in-front of a live audience.

Jemma said: “I am such a fan of the Foodies Festival and I love the one in my local area at Tatton Park.

“It’s quite surreal to think that this year I’ll be on the other side of the demo stage with one of my own creations!"

The music line-up includes platinum-selling chart-toppers Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe from legendary boy band Blue and festival favourites, Toploader.

And new for Friday, Foodies will launch its ‘Big Party Night’ - taking a nostalgia-filled trip back to the 90s, featuring some of the biggest music acts of the era, including Rozalla, East 17, S Club and a 90s DJ.

Other chefs will include Caroline Martins, Adam Reid, Aiden Byrne, Sean Noonan and Stuart Wood.

More than 200 exhibitors will showcase their produce, providing festival-goers with a fantastic opportunity to sample the best of the region – and to try a huge selection of delicious food and drink from around the world.
