THE brother of a murdered man is appealing to the people of Northwich for more information to catch his killer, so his family can move on with their lives.
Charlie Jones, 42, died on Tuesday, February 10, 1998, two-and-a-half weeks after being attacked on Station Road, Northwich.
He died from a blood clot on the brain that was connected to the assault.
His attacker remains at large.
Now on the 10th anniversary of his death, his brother Derek Jones wants to make sure that people haven't forgotton about him.
He was one of 10 brother and sisters, and Derek believes that someone out there knows the truth.
Derek said: "I think somebody knows something - it is Northwich's best kept secret. Where he used to live on Parkfield Road, everyone knew everything.
"We are just trying to get on with our lives."
Charlie, who lived on Parkfield Road, had been enjoying a drink at the Wings Club on Station Road before he was attacked at about midnight on Sunday, January 25, 1998.
He was found badly beaten in the street after ordering a takeaway and was taken to Leighton Hospital.
Derek added: "We are hoping to find out more information.
"The police say the case is still open and his family haven't forgotten him."
