THE cost of petrol has gone up almost 10p in just one week as prices hurtle towards £2 per litre.
Just last week the cheapest place to fill your tank across our patch was Asda in Barons Quay in Northwich at 172.7p per litre, but today it is now 181.9p per litre.
To put that eye-watering rise in perspective, it will now cost you about a fiver more to fill up an average 55-litre tank this week than it did last.
With that in mind, here are the top five places across the patch to fill up with both petrol and diesel. We have also included the best three places in Knutsford, which has always been historically more expensive anyway.
