REBECCA Collins owns a double award-winning beauty salon!
After taking the Northwich Guardian’s Best for Nails title last month, The Beauty Spot in Wincham has been named Best for Beauty.
Rebecca, has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, topped the pile in our latest Best of search as we tried to find the best beauty salon in Northwich.
The salon is in the converted spare room of Rebecca’s house which she says is ideal for making clients feel at home.
She is trained in all areas of beauty – nails, make-up, waxing and tanning – and even tried her hand at sewing during Covid-19 lockdowns making PPE for frontline NHS workers.
While her salon was closed due to restrictions of the pandemic, she also offered packages to clients with facial kits and wellness boxes and then launched second business The Beauty Box.
“A credit to the people of Northwich”, Rebecca likes to treat her clients to pamper packages where they can escape for two or three hours and enjoy some ‘me time’.
One of the nominations for The Beauty Spot to win Best for Beauty 2022 said Rebecca is “professional and caring” and “works tirelessly to make sure everyone leaves with a smile on their face and looking superb”.
She is the only person one client will trust with her brows and “always makes time for everyone”.
Rebecca said: “I am absolutely overwhelmed at the support and fierce loyalty my clients have for my little business.
“Covid-19 has affected my business, just like everyone else in the industry, and winning these two awards has helped me in such a positive way.
“Throughout the pandemic, the hair and beauty industry was closed down three times.
“In 13 months we were open less than four, trying to find the enthusiasm when everything was so uncertain and appointments were consistently cancelled or rearranged if someone tested positive.
“During the pandemic, I had to leave my town centre salon location and move to my own home salon.
“This was an upsetting time because I had built up such a great relationship with the girls I worked with.
“These awards have given me an extra boost of positivity and I am extremely grateful to everyone who voted for me.”
