TODAY is Fathers' Day - a difficult time for anyone who has lost their dad.

While many people will be spending today thanking all the important male figures in their lives - dads, grandads, uncles and family friends - some people will be missing a loved one.

We know there are many of our readers whose dads have sadly passed away and we wanted to give you the chance to remember them by sharing your own special messages.

If your dad is no longer with us and you'd like to share a photo and a few words telling us why he was so important to you, use these links northwichguardian.co.uk/my/ccn/assignment/tAEuKLe6/ winsfordguardian.co.uk/my/ccn/assignment/q5z4XZUo/ knutsfordguardian.co.uk/my/ccn/assignment/U2mnyVjA/

Here are some of your heartfelt messages to the dads you have loved and lost.

Share a special message for your dadSaying my final goodbye to you on Monday was heartbreaking and today, my first Father’s Day without you has been hard. I’m not a superstitious person but when my alarm went off this morning playing a song we listened to at your service, it was strange. To help me through today, I’ve told myself it was you letting me know everything’s ok. Sleep peacefully Dad. I love you.

Share a special message for your dadHe was one of a kind, always helping others when he can, was very hardworking and definitely a character 😂 Our proudest moment as a family is when he donated his bone marrow and helped save a little boy's life and that year we received a letter to say the little boy spent his first christmas at home and as far as we know he is still well 😊 he certainly loved his family (his grandson being his number one) and friends & everyone knew him for being a butcher or a great bowler (lawn bowling) he is missed dearly by us all ❤️

Share a special message for your dadDad, you are missed not just on Father’s Day but each and every day. You would love your great grandchildren. You met Elise but not Teddy and you would be so happy that Ed and Jade are having their cherished baby after so many lost cherubs. Hoping you are reunited with your own father on this special day. Give him a hug and kiss from me and tell him I now live where he spent his childhood. Ad Sul y Tadau Hapus a Taid (Happy Father’s Day dad and grandad in Welsh)

You were funny, caring and a hard worker. You were also the best grandad to my children. My absolute hero. Miss you every day x
