THE new Bupa Health Centre is set to open in Tarporley next week.

Cheshire-based Enigma Wellness has partnered with the healthcare giant to open an assessment centre at Portal Business Park.

Door will open to new patients on Monday (June 6).

This is the first joint centre between Bupa and Enigma Wellness and will provide a number of enhanced health and wellbeing services, including health assessments, private GP appointments, physiotherapy, muscle, bone and joint services and menopause support.

Peter George, president of Enigma Wellness, said the new health centre was part of a long-term plan to make health and wellbeing facilities, as well as diagnostics and private medical treatment more readily available in the North West.

He said: "The quicker people can get a diagnosis for some conditions, the quicker you can start treatment and get on the road to recovery.

"Equally, prevention is key and by encouraging people to look after their health through lifestyle changes such as nutrition and exercise, they are less likely to become ill and require treatment.

"We believe the two should work hand in hand, which is why we have developed two new wellbeing facilities in Tarporley, attracting the very best fitness trainers, physios, nutritionists, clinicians and consultants.

"The new Bupa Health Centre and adjacent medical treatment rooms will ensure local people have swift and easy access to a wide range of services, consultants and specialists.

"It is a holistic approach to health that we hope to replicate across facilities in the UK."

Arun Thiyagarajan, director at Bupa Health Clinics, added: "We’re delighted to be partnering with Enigma Wellness to open the new Bupa Health Centre in Tarporley.

"The centre will give people in Cheshire access to our services, including our health assessments, which assesses people’s current health and wellbeing and offers support on how to improve
it, along with access to our GPs to discuss any health concerns.

"We look forward to welcoming customers."
