A WINSFORD man has been hit with a hefty court bill after not identifying a driver suspected of a motoring offence.
Dale Carpenter, of Wharton Road, was asked to provide the information to Devon and Cornwall Police on November 9 last year.
The police were looking to identify the driver of a Mitsubishi Legnum alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
The charge was proved in a single justice procedure at Bodmin Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates fined the 28-year-old £660 and ordered him to pay costs of £90 as well as a £66 surcharge to fund victim services.
Carpenter's driving licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
He was given until June 22 to pay the total £816 court bill.
