With more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Rebecca Collins can now say she creates the best nails in Northwich.
Rebecca’s business The Beauty Spot got several nominations in our Best of 2022 competition as we searched for the nail salon or nail technician who was worthy of the Best for Nails crown.
The salon is in the converted spare room of Rebecca’s house which she says is ideal for making clients feel at home.
She said: “I’m trained in all areas of beauty – nails, make-up, waxing and tanning – and when Covid hit I knew that I wouldn’t be able to return to my job in a salon in the town centre, as restrictions made it too difficult to make ends meet.
“I went mobile but now work from home and clients prefer the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
“Many of my clients I’ve known for so long that they’ve become friends and most come for more than one treatment as I like to offer packages so they can relax for two or three hours and have some ‘me time’.”
“A credit to the people of Northwich”, Rebecca has not one but two businesses with The Beauty Box launching during lockdown.
Over the past two years, when Rebecca was unable to work due to Covid-19 lockdowns, she turned her salon into a sewing room making face masks and scrubs for the NHS.
She also sent out products to help her clients who were struggling as a result of the restrictions and her home facial kits and wellness boxes proved to be a hit.
Rebecca said: “The boxes went down so well that I put together a beauty box and sold them all within days.
“It was such a success that I started to think about where my beauty therapy skills would fit into this new world and how I could incorporate small ethical businesses.
“Our beauty box is vegan, natural, cruelty-free and eco-friendly and our suppliers are small UK family-run businesses as well.”
Rebecca added: “Winning this award is the perfect way to celebrate twenty years in the business and it’s a chance for me and my clients to celebrate together.
“There are so many fantastic nail salons in the Northwich area that it means a great deal to win.”
