ALLOTMENT members in Winsford are ‘delighted’ to be back in the town centre selling their produce after a long two-year absence.

During the last two years members of Over Allotments, located at Moss Bank, have been unable to hold their annual plant sale in the town centre due to the pandemic.

But this year they are back.

On May 14, between 9am and 3pm, members of the Over Allotments Association will be selling a range of basket plants and vegetables - all grown on site at the allotments.

Frances Johnson said: “There will be various hanging baskets for sale, again all grown on the allotments and planted by the association members.

“It has been a long two years, with the gardeners of Over Allotments being unable to showcase their produce to the wider community, and they have missed the interaction between themselves and the people of the town at their events throughout the growing year.

“They will be delighted to see you all at the plant sale, as well as on their open day to be held on July 16, 2022.”
