HARTFORD Post Office has reopened at its new location more than 12 months after it was forced to close.
The new branch is located at A&R Minimarket in Greenbank Lane.
It will be open from Monday to Friday, 9am until 6.30pm, Saturdays from 10am until 6.30pm and Sundays from 11am until 4pm.
The previous branch at The Green closed in April 2021 due to the resignation of the postmaster.
But yesterday, Wednesday, the new branch opened for the community.
Karl Haddon, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored Post Office services to Hartford as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
“This full-time Post Office is convenient for customers to visit.”
The new premises is located less than a mile from the previous branch, and there is parking available outside.
There is a step at the entrance, however those needing step-free access can use the bell is provided to alert staff that the portable ramp is need.
