AS the countdown to Cheshire's very own 'Wacky Races' continues, the organisers are offering one lucky team free entry to the competition.

Krazy Races comes to Northwich for the first time on June 26, with thousands expected to line the streets to watch the Soap-Box Derby event.

Forty teams will be hurtling down a 400m track in Castle Street with chicanes and obstacles in soap-box carts designed, created and raced by themselves.

This event is free to attend with thousands of pounds going to local charities including the events nominated charity Macmillan North West.

And with only 10 weeks to go before the races, organisers have launched a competition to give one lucky group of five a free space worth up to £250.

Applicants can be a business, a local charity or even a group of ‘Krazy’ friends.

All members need to be over the age of 18 and available for the event on the June 26. Do you have what it takes to build a winning kart?

To enter: Tell us in in 30 words or less why you have the makings of the 'kraziest' team on the track. We'll pick our favourite answer to win!
