A 20-YEAR-OLD has been handed a six-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.

Thomas Kellett, of Rosewood Drive in Winsford, drove a Vauxhall Corsa dangerously along Chester Way near Northwich town centre on February 6.

The next day, he then obstructed a police constable in the execution of his duty.

Appearing in Chester Magistrates’ Court on April 1, Kellett’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.

He was committed to six months in a young offender institution and was disqualified from driving for two years.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a surcharge of £128.
